Lookers Mercedes Benz of Shrewsbury is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join our fantastic workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, playing a vital role by carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and performing additional repairs.

Reporting to Matthew Lockley, who has over 30 years’ experience with Lookers, this is a great opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional. Our technicians are essential to our Service team, delivering first-class customer service consistently. We welcome qualified Vehicle Technicians or experienced Mechanics from both dealer groups and independent garages to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle health checks using the latest technology
• Conduct vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Carry out additional repairs with customer approval
• Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines and proper documentation
• Test drive vehicles to ensure faults are resolved
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior workshop experience, be self-motivated, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to work to high standards. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification are required. An MOT licence would be advantageous.

Experience with the brand is beneficial but not essential, as full brand accreditation training can be provided.
