Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is hiring a Technology Support Apprentice to join the Digital, Data and Technology team on a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract. You will support staff, log IT requests, and help set up devices while working towards the Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship with LDN.

The apprenticeship lasts 16 months and leads to a ICT qualification, with blended delivery and prep for CompTIA A+.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.
• GCSE Maths and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to internal staff.
• Log and manage IT requests and calls.
• Set up laptops, tablets and desktops for staff.
• Contribute to wider IT project work as needed.
