Sedex in London is seeking an experienced hands-on Tech Lead to steer engineering within the application layer of our SaaS platform. You will lead a small pod, do hands-on coding, architectural ownership, and line-manage engineers, driving reliability and maintainability while embracing AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience leading tech teams.
• Strong production experience with Kotlin/Java.
• Proven ability to design and evolve distributed services.
• Experience operating cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD.
• Experience mentoring and line-managing engineers.
• Excellent communication and agile practices.

Responsabilités

• Build and evolve platform services with scalable, observable architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for your pod.
• Line-manage engineers, foster growth, feedback, and accountability.
• Improve engineering productivity by removing bottlenecks and improving workflows.
• Lead AI-assisted development initiatives and tool adoption.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and stakeholders to align technical decisions.
• Ensure delivery quality, testing strategy, and security practices.
