Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive backend and frontend development, set architectural direction, and mentor teams. You will embed AI capabilities into production systems while ensuring secure, scalable delivery across domains.

The role requires strong full-stack expertise, proven leadership, and hands-on coding with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and modern DevOps practices. London-based, hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience including technical leadership.
• Experience delivering secure, scalable backend and frontend systems.
• Proficient in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and MongoDB.
• Strong front-end knowledge with ReactJS, JavaScript and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of secure, scalable backend and frontend systems.
• Define architectural direction, coding standards, and development best practices.
• Plan and deliver features with product, design, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and guide technical decisions.
• Improve deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
• Lead integration of AI capabilities, including model deployment and performance monitoring.
