Job summary

J.P. Morgan in London is seeking an Associate to support the EMEA Technology Investment Banking team. You will work across origination and execution of mandates, building client materials and engaging directly with senior bankers to drive outcomes.

You will be supported by formal training, feedback and mentoring, developing valuation, structuring and sector judgement to progress toward originating and executing your own transactions.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in investment banking with M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Ability to engage with clients directly, in person and virtually.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills on live transactions.
• Proven ability to prioritise multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications; highly organised.
• Willingness to coach and develop junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build and own valuation analysis, including DCF, trading/transaction comparables, LBO, accretion/dilution and merger consequences.
• Run day-to-day execution of live mandates, including workstream planning and diligence coordination.
• Prepare pitch materials, management/Board presentations and internal memos for M&A, equity and debt transactions.
• Perform transaction structuring and capital structure analysis, translating output into recommendations.
• Engage with senior team members and client management to execute transactions.
• Supervise and review the work of analysts, ensuring accuracy.
• Develop and maintain sector coverage: company profiles and thematic viewpoints.
