Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join the EMEA Consumer & Retail M&A team in London. You will support the origination and execution of transactions for leading clients, collaborating with country and coverage teams across EMEA.

The role provides exposure to landmark deals, rigorous financial analysis, and modeling, with mentoring and professional development within a premier, global bank.

Qualifications

• M&A experience is required.
• Demonstrated technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency.
• Ability to take ownership of transactions, with significant exposure to clients, other third-party advisors, and counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full cycle of transactional execution, including preparing marketing pitches, formulating, conducting, and reviewing financial analysis, preparing and presenting client presentations, and managing day-to-day M&A process activities.
• Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A or capital market transactions.
• Prepare advanced financial analyses and build complex valuation and M&A models.
• Manage communication with clients, counterparties and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to Analysts.
• M&A experience is required.
• Demonstrated technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency.
• Ability to take ownership of transactions, with significant exposure to clients, other third-party advisors, and counterparties.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to manage time appropriately across competing demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
