Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley, UK, offers a year-in-industry placement in the Technology Engineering Department. You will join a fast-paced, innovative engineering environment and contribute to the development and performance of our Formula One car.

You will design, develop and improve hardware used in the wind tunnel, driver simulators and dynos, collaborating with engineers, designers and technicians across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical engineering or physics-based disciplines.
• At least one year remaining on current course.
• Flexible hours with a can-do/team-playing attitude.
• Adaptable, proactive, collaborative mindset.
• Keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve hardware for wind tunnel, driver simulators and dynos.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and technicians across the lifecycle.
• Own engineering projects from conception to completion: define requirements, design solutions, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, oversee build activities, deliver outcomes.
