Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK seeks a Technical Director - Structural Engineering to lead delivery of complex nuclear and defence projects, setting technical direction, governance and quality standards across multidisciplinary teams. You will build client relationships with EDF, MOD, Rolls-Royce SMR, BAE Systems, and oversee growth of the heavy civil structures portfolio while mentoring future leaders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Chartered Engineer status through ICE/IStructE (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in design/delivery of heavy civil structures in regulated sectors (nuclear/defence).
• Proven authority in structural engineering with leadership on major programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership and project oversight across major nuclear/defence programmes.
• Mentor and develop senior structural engineers and grow capability.
• Develop trusted client relationships and represent the business in senior meetings.
• Identify, shape and win opportunities; lead bidding input and market growth.
