Job summary

Benugo in Reading is seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver high standards of service on shift, handle tills, and support kitchen and floor tasks. You will stock fridges, follow FIFO, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper labeling and pricing.

Maintain awareness of promotions and product information, follow food safety and hygiene procedures, and work collaboratively to meet service targets. Training and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Ability to work on tills and front-of-house duties.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of customer service at all times.
• Assist with kitchen, front of house and back of house cleaning duties.
• Organise deliveries and stock fridges using FIFO.
• Clear tables and maintain a clean working environment.
• Ensure labels and prices are correct and up to date.
• Be aware of promotions, pricing and product information.
• Follow cash handling procedures when taking orders on tills.
• Represent WSH and John Lewis professionally in appearance and conduct.
• Attend training and development courses as requested.

Job description

• Ensuring the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
• Assisting with any kitchen, front of house and back of house cleaning duties.
• To organise deliveries, and ensuring the fridges are stocked, using a first in, first out process.
• Assisting with clearing tables and maintaining a clean working environment.
• To ensure all labels and prices are correct.
• Maintain awareness of promotions, pricing and product information.
• To be flexible to work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and working on the floor, serving food and drinks.
• Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service targets and maintain smooth operations.
• To attend all training and development course as requested.
• To always represent WSH and John Lewis in a professional manner in your behaviour appearance and knowledge.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
