Job summary

Benugo at WSH/John Lewis Reading is seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver exceptional service on the shop floor and cafe operations. You’ll handle tills, assist with front and back of house tasks, and ensure promotions and product information are accurate.

A friendly, reliable attitude and a commitment to high standards are essential. The role includes meal on shift, pension enrolment, generous leave, and opportunities for career progression within an exciting retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and allergen procedures.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a till.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 최고 customer experience at all times.
• Assist with cleaning duties across kitchen and FOH/BOH.
• Organise deliveries and stock fridges using FIFO.
• Clear tables and keep a clean working environment.
• Check labels and prices for accuracy.
• Stay aware of promotions and product information.
• Be flexible to work on tills, take orders, and serve customers.
• Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet targets and smooth operations.
• Attend training and development courses as required.
• Represent WSH and John Lewis professionally in behaviour and appearance.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.

• Ensuring the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
• Assisting with any kitchen, front of house and back of house cleaning duties.
• To organise deliveries, and ensuring the fridges are stocked, using a first in, first out process.
• Assisting with clearing tables and maintaining a clean working environment.
• To ensure all labels and prices are correct.
• Maintain awareness of promotions, pricing and product information.
• To be flexible to work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and working on the floor, serving food and drinks.
• Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service targets and maintain smooth operations.
• To attend all training and development course as requested.
• To always represent WSH and John Lewis in a professional manner in your behaviour appearance and knowledge.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
