Job summary

Benugo in Reading is seeking a friendly frontline team member to deliver excellent customer service across café operations. You will assist with front of house tasks, food and beverage service, and ensure a clean, well-stocked environment in line with WSH and John Lewis standards.

The role offers minimum 10 hours per week, meal on shift, and access to staff benefits including pension, annual leave, and employee discounts. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standard of customer experience at all times.
• Assist with kitchen, front of house and back of house cleaning duties.
• Organise deliveries and ensure fridges are stocked using FIFO.
• Clear tables and maintain a clean working environment.
• Ensure all labels and prices are correct; monitor promotions and product information.
• Be flexible to work on tills, handle cash, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
• Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet service targets and smooth operations.
• Attend training and development courses as requested.
• Represent WSH and John Lewis professionally in behaviour and appearance.

• Assisting with any kitchen, front of house and back of house cleaning duties.
• To organise deliveries, and ensuring the fridges are stocked, using a first in, first out process.
• Assisting with clearing tables and maintaining a clean working environment.
• To ensure all labels and prices are correct.
• Maintain awareness of promotions, pricing and product information.
• To be flexible to work on tills, following the cash handling procedures, taking orders and working on the floor, serving food and drinks.
• Follow food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service targets and maintain smooth operations.
• To attend all training and development course as requested.
• To always represent WSH and John Lewis in a professional manner in your behaviour appearance and knowledge.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.
