Are you seeking a new challenge where you can make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people with learning disabilities and complex needs?

Working for an established provider of care and support to people with learning disabilities, complex needs, mental health, and brain injury, we are seeking a Team Manager to work across two Supported Living services in Carlisle.

The Role
  • Oversee the effective management and leadership of two services for adults with learning disabilities and some complex needs, including medical and mental health issues.
  • Support and manage staff within each service, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Attend MDT meetings, conduct financial audits, risk assessments, and rota planning.
  • Ensure all staff have regular supervisions, 1-1s, and up-to-date training.
  • Review support plans and visit services regularly.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work occasional shifts as required. On-call duties are once every 4 weeks, with extra payments of £65.
About You
  • Previous experience managing services within similar settings and a passion for supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date CQC legislation and standards.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding protocols.
  • Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • A positive, professional, resilient approach with excellent communication skills. Person-centered approach is key!
  • Strong organizational and IT skills, with the ability to produce accurate reports.
  • Outcome and solution-focused mindset.
