Job Description:

We are Hestia. We make a difference.

At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Team Manager to play a pivotal role in our Hammersmith and Fulham Service in Hammersmith and Fulham.

What will I be doing?

The role involves strategic and operational management of the H&F Mental Health Community Support Service, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with contract requirements and client needs. It includes oversight of service performance, KPIs, user outcomes, and report submissions, while maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders. The post-holder leads a frontline team, providing supervision, support, and performance management, and supports volunteer and student placements. The role also encompasses financial oversight, aligning service delivery with organisational policies, budgets, and business plans. A key focus is placed on co-production—actively involving service users in shaping and delivering services to enhance wellbeing, inclusion, and recovery outcomes.

What do I need to bring?

You should demonstrate the core skills required for this role and align with our values and mission. We value lived experience of the areas we support; please mention this if applicable. You don't need to meet all criteria immediately; willingness to learn is important.

Qualifications and experience include:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, including at least two years in mental health or working with vulnerable adults.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, equity, and diversity, with experience supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • Proven ability in line management or supervision, performance monitoring, and using support plans to maintain high service standards.
  • Proficient in computer systems, with ability to guide staff in accurate data recording.

Interview Steps

Our interview process is straightforward:

  • Shortlisting call: A recruitment specialist will discuss your experience, motivations, and values, and share information about our work.
  • Face-to-face interview: Conducted with the hiring manager, focusing on values and competencies.

Additional stages may be involved depending on the role.

Our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

We embrace diversity, hiring from various backgrounds to strengthen our organisation. We are committed to creating an inclusive workforce and value the skills and experiences different people bring.

We are a disability confident employer

Hestia offers a guaranteed interview scheme for applicants with disabilities who meet minimum criteria, along with reasonable adjustments during the process and employment.

Safeguarding Statement

Hestia is committed to safeguarding and expects all staff and volunteers to promote welfare and undertake relevant training throughout employment.
