Job summary

Lifeways is opening a brand-new one-person supported living service in Winlaton. As Team Leader you will recruit, support and supervise a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for the person supported.

You will manage daily living tasks, coordinate plans, risk assessments and behavioural support strategies, while promoting independence and inclusion. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Social Care.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Support Workers to deliver person-centred care.
• Support daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, personal care and medication where required.
• Ensure support plans, risk assessments and behavioural support strategies are followed and reviewed.
• Promote independence, choice, dignity and inclusion in all aspects of support.
• Assist with staff supervision, coaching, training and development.
• Support rota management, service administration and quality assurance activities.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies that are important to the individual.

Lifeways is soon to open a brand-new one-person supported living service in the Winlaton area. The person you will be supporting has learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern, and we are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to help shape and lead this exciting new service from the very beginning.

The person supported enjoys colouring, jigsaws, music and dancing, as well as calming activities such as yoga and meditation. They also enjoy going out in the car, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Supporting the individual with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and medication administration where required.
• Ensuring support plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies are followed and regularly reviewed.

• Assisting with staff supervision, coaching, training, and ongoing development.
• Supporting rota management, service administration, and quality assurance activities.

• Previous experience working within Health & Social Care.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviours.
• Leadership or senior support experience is desirable.

• A genuine passion for delivering person-centred support.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
