Job summary

National Care Group is seeking a Female Team Leader for Supported Living in Essex. The role focuses on guiding staff to deliver person-centred care, promoting independence, dignity and safety for individuals with learning disabilities.

You will oversee care delivery, ensure compliance with CQC standards and support ongoing safeguarding and risk management. The post requires female applicants only as a genuine occupational requirement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a team leader in a LD/Autistic environment.
• Understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and person-centred care principles.
• Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or higher) or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Staff Leadership: Mentoring, supervising, and developing support staff, including managing performance and training.
• Person-Centred Care: Ensuring support plans are implemented to maximise independence, dignity, and quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitoring services to ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and legislation.
• Operational Management: Coordinating daily routines, conducting risk assessments, and managing safeguarding issues.
• Reporting & Communication: Reporting to service managers, attending meetings, and communicating with external stakeholders and families.
• On-call Duties: Participating in out-of-hours on-call rotations to support the team.
• Working on shifts as part of the care team and completing admin duties.
