Team Leader - Recruitment

Location: Derby (Office-based). Salary: Negotiable DOE + Uncapped Commission + Excellent Benefits.

We’re looking for an ambitious, driven and commercially minded Team Leader to join a well-established and growing recruitment business in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to lead, develop and grow a team while remaining hands-on with your own clients and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Recruitment Consultants.
• Set individual and team objectives, monitoring performance against KPIs and revenue targets.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
• Support consultants with client meetings, negotiations and candidate management.
• Drive new business development and expand existing client relationships.
• Manage your own recruitment desk, generating consistent billings.
• Recruit, onboard and train new consultants as the team grows.
• Ensure best practice recruitment processes and compliance are maintained.
• Foster a positive, high-performance and collaborative team culture.
• Report on team performance and contribute to business strategy.

About You

• You'll ideally have: Previous experience as a Recruitment Team Leader, Managing Consultant, Principal Consultant or Senior Recruitment Consultant.
• A proven track record of billing and winning new business.
• Experience managing, mentoring or developing recruitment consultants.
• Strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Commercial awareness with a results-driven mindset.
• The ability to lead by example in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
