Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group’s Aire View Care Home in Leeds is seeking a Team Leader to support night shifts and assist the home management team with resident care planning, audits and wellbeing checks. You will lead staff in the manager’s absence and ensure safe, person-centred care throughout the night.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 in care (or equivalent) and at least two years in a senior role with the same resident group. DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Support the home management team in delivering high-quality, safe and caring services for residents, visitors and staff
• Lead the person-centred care planning process, including implementing and monitoring care plans
• Carry out monthly care plan evaluations and audits, and develop and complete action plans
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing and amend care plans and records when needs change
• Manage smooth discharges from the home, including documentation, medication and keeping next of kin informed where appropriate
• Apply safe systems of work, including moving and handling and risk assessment, protecting personal and others' safety

What sets it apart is the duty to lead staff and cover for the manager in their absence. Fit depends on an NVQ 3 in care for care homes and two years in a senior role with the same resident group.
