Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to work nights at Lady Jane Court Care Home. You will deliver high standards of personal care and keep residents' wellbeing, care plans and records up to date, alongside supervising staff and acting as a point of contact for families and professionals.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in care and two years’ experience in a similar setting, plus a DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care, working with the team in a safe, caring environment.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing, spot changes, and update records.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication requirements.
• Carry out staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as the key contact for residents, relatives and professionals, escalating concerns when needed.

What the job involves

• Deliver high standards of personal care, working alongside the care team in a safe, caring and inclusive environment
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing, spot changes affecting care, meet new needs and amend written records
• Take part in person-centred care planning, implementing plans and carrying out monthly evaluations
• Support residents with their medication requirements
• Carry out staff supervisions and support staff with their development
• Act as the key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, acting on reasonable requests and escalating concerns or complaints

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes

Experience

• Two years' experience in a similar care environment
