Job summary

Poets Mews Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group in the West of England, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts. You will support the care team in delivering personal care, review wellbeing and care plans, supervise staff, and be the main contact for residents and families.

Applicants need an NVQ 3 in care and at least two years' experience in a similar setting. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required; DBS costs are met by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Create a safe, caring environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing and amend care plans and records as needed.
• Partake in person-centred care planning, including monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication.
• Carry out staff supervisions and develop staff.
• Act as key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health professionals.
• Elevate concerns or complaints when necessary.

Job description

Senior Care Assistant post on nights at Poets Mews Care Home, one of the homes run by Avery Healthcare Group. The role supports the care team in delivering personal care and keeping residents' wellbeing and care plans under review. It is night-based, with a senior role that includes supervising staff and acting as the main contact for residents and their families. Candidates need an NVQ 3 in care and two years' experience in a comparable setting.

What’s required

Qualifications
