Job summary

Radis Community Care is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader to support residents aged 55+ across Cedar Court RG2 and Oaktree House RG30 in Reading, Berkshire. The role includes supervising care workers, coordinating daily tasks, and assisting with personal care and medications while maintaining independence for residents.

Applicants should have an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care (Level 3 in progress) and be prepared for enhanced DBS checks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (working towards Level 3).
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Previous Team Leader experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead care workers, including meetings and supervision sessions.
• Schedule and allocate work ensuring client-specific personal care tasks.
• Assist with medication and personal care as required; support within the community.
• participate in on-call rota and provide cover for housing-related duties when needed.

Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant/ Team Leader to join our team supporting our services, Cedar Court RG2 and Oaktree House RG30

Located in Reading, Berkshire, our services have apartments designed to help local residents aged 55 and over to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible.

Residents benefit from easy access to nearby shops and restaurants but can also enjoy their social pursuits in a safe and secure environment, with on-site facilities including a communal lounge, dining room, laundry, guest facilities, garden, activities room and hairdressing salon.

About the role

As a Team Leader you will provide support to our extra care complex, providing specialised support to individuals. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.

You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions / meetings and support to the Care Workers. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Care Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.

You will also be required participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for care and Radis’ housing related support duties when emergency cover is required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal commination skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations.

This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
