Job summary

Radis Community Care in Exeter is seeking an Extra Care Team Leader to oversee the delivery of high-quality care within an extra care housing complex. You will supervise Support Workers, coordinate schedules, and ensure tailored support while helping residents maintain independence.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, at least one year in a Team Leader role, and strong communication skills. An enhanced DBS and a driving license are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a Team Leader / Senior role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required, with willingness to work toward Level 3.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to people living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well-being.

You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities including:

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.
