Radis Community Care in Portishead seeks an experienced Extra Care Team Leader to support people living independently in the extra care housing complex, with a 50/50 split between leadership and hands‑on care. You will supervise and mentor Support Workers, coordinate schedules, and assist with daily living tasks, mobility and personal care, while fostering strong partnerships within the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a Team Leader or Senior role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care; Level 3 progression encouraged.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and adaptability to changing needs.

Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team based at Waverley Court, Forth Avenue, Portishead, BS20 7NY

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to people living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well-being.

You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities include:

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a Team Leader / Senior role.

Additional Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
• A driving license and access to a vehicle are advantageous as occasional travel may be required.
