Job summary

Radis Community Care in Exeter is hiring an Extra Care Team Leader to supervise Support Workers and deliver high-quality, person-centred care within an extra care housing complex. You will lead supervisions, coordinate schedules, support daily living tasks, and foster positive relationships within the community.

A minimum of one year in a Team Leader role and an enhanced DBS check are required; driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a Team Leader / Senior role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required, with willingness to work toward Level 3.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing needs of the people supported.

Responsibilities

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure high standards of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalised support plans.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care as needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to people living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well-being.

You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities include­ing:

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
