Job summary

Radis Community Care in Exeter is seeking a Team Leader for our Extra Care Service. You will oversee support delivered to people living independently in their own homes within the extra care complex, ensuring person-centred care and high standards across the team.

You will supervise Support Workers, coordinate schedules, support daily living activities, and build positive relationships within the community.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a care setting and supervising support workers.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required, with willingness to progress to Level 3.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervisions and team meetings to maintain care standards.

• Assist with daily living activities including medication and mobility when needed.

About the Role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Service, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality support to people living independently within their own homes in the extra care complex. Our approach emphasizes understanding and responding to the unique needs of each individual, helping them maintain their independence while ensuring their well-being. You will be the first point of contact for the care and support provided, with responsibilities including:

Responsibilities

• Conducting supervisions, team meetings, and mentoring Support Workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Coordinating schedules and allocating tasks to maintain personalized support plans for each person.
• Supporting people with daily living activities such as medication, mobility, and personal care when needed.
• Building positive relationships within the extra care community.
