Job description

Our stunning care home, Bramhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in the popular area of Bramhall Village, Stockport. The home is registered to care for 71 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. It meets all CQC standards, providing the highest safety, comfort, and care quality. We invest in our facilities and staff to enhance residents' experiences, including an award-winning activities and wellbeing program called OOMPH. We also incorporate the latest technology and offer a structured program of daily activities and gentle exercises to support residents' wellbeing. Our team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, supported by comprehensive induction and ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on a permanent staff model, with over four years of zero agency usage, ensuring continuity and trust with our residents. All staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.

At Bramhall Manor, we also provide some intermediate NHS-supported care, assisting residents with short-term rehabilitation after hospital stays, working closely with therapy teams, which is highly rewarding for our staff.

We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join us. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the care team and managing the home effectively 24/7 within available resources. This is a full-time role, paying £13.50 per hour. 5. Manage the delivery of personalized care according to each resident’s care plan.
  6. Support professional standards within the home.
  7. Provide supervision, coaching, and assessments to Care Assistants.
  8. Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care through written care plans.
  9. Maintain accurate records as required by regulations.
  10. Manage rotas and delegate workloads to ensure sufficient staffing.
  11. Complete new admission files within the first week, involving relevant staff members.
  12. Build relationships with external professionals.
  13. Assist in conducting quality audits of care plans.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience working with older adults.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or plan to achieve within 12 months.

  • Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated and confident.

The Benefits:

  • Opportunities for career progression into senior and management roles.
  • Enhancements for bank holidays and overtime.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave.
  • Paid DBS check and uniform.
  • Paid training and ongoing professional development.
  • Referral scheme for specific roles.
  • Comprehensive induction program.
  • Support for nationally recognized qualifications.
  • Competitive pay rate.
