Stockport Council is seeking an experienced Team Leader for Complex Saf safeguarding, a full-time, hybrid role based in Stockport. The post requires extensive experience in statutory children’s social work, expertise in court processes and DOLS, and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team within the Youth Justice & Complex Safeguarding Service.

You will contribute to strategy development, support safeguarding decisions, and raise awareness through training and cross-agency collaboration.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in complex safeguarding and statutory children’s social work.
• Experience with court processes and understanding Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS).
• Ability to share expertise with team leaders and social workers to inform strategy meetings.

Responsabilités

• Lead on awareness raising across the council, including the Week of Action for exploitation.
• Provide input at regular training and development events.
• Support the work of Stockport Family and social care reforms.
