Job summary

Stockport Council, a Best for Inclusion winner, is seeking a Team Leader for Complex Safeguarding in the Youth Justice & Complex Safeguarding Service. The role demands extensive experience in complex safeguarding and statutory social work, including court processes and DOLS, to support adolescents and families.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team and contribute to strategy meetings while working in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid: office-based at Fred Perry House with some homeworking.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex safeguarding and statutory social work.
• Experience with court processes and DOLS understanding.
• Knowledge of adolescent development, exploitation and trafficking.

Responsibilities

• Lead on safeguarding initiatives and strategy meetings.
• Support the wider Stockport Family management team.
• Develop awareness and training across the council.
