Location: Kittybrewster Complex, Aberdeen

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Job Purpose/About The Role

The Team Leader will assist in providing an effective and efficient service to the public regarding property repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to the council’s housing and non-housing stock by supervising a team of multi-skilled tradespersons.

Seeking an individual with construction knowledge and the ability to manage in-house trades and contractors to ensure the safe and successful delivery of property improvement projects.

Requirements

• Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in a building trade at SCQF level 5 (SVQ level 2) or equivalent/other relevant qualifications/relevant site experience.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Gas heating system installation
• Working with all main building trades
• Knowledge of social housing stock and the construction methods used in building
• Good knowledge of building regulations
• Knowledge of regulations relating to asbestos
• Understanding of current Health and Safety issues and all current legislation and statutory procedures
• Knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.
