Dematic is seeking a Maintenance Lead in the United Kingdom to manage a team of maintenance technicians, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards. You will diagnose faults, coordinate repairs, and maintain spare parts and tools efficiently.

The role requires experience with automatic, electrical and PLC systems, with knowledge of conveyors and a strong emphasis on safety, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Formación

• Good understanding of automatic systems.
• Familiar with mechanical, electrical and electronic manuals and drawings.
• Experience with PLC equipment and conveyors.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure Health & Safety legislation is followed at all times.
• Maintain and monitor maintenance plans and CMMS records.
• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and shifts.
• Plan and control parts, tools and PPE for personnel.
• Diagnose faults and coordinate with service teams for repairs.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain customer relations.
• Oversee recruitment, training and development of site staff.
• Conduct periodical reports on service activities.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times

• Ensure H&S Systems and processes are managed and adhered to

• Accountable for planning, execution and monitoring of the maintenance plan.

• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.

• Ensure CMMS adoption to accurately record all work undertaken and generate reports.

• Lead and manager team of maintenance technicians & shift pattern

• Monitor site inventory.

• Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.

• Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs with the support of Service Technical Assistance dept.

• To ensure quality of output at all times

• Involvement in continuous improvement and sales opportunities

• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations.

• To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.

• Evaluate risks of overdue maintenance and change management/prioritization of a new maintenance plan

• Ensure to main control of the costs to execute the maintenance program.

• Define the lists of required tool & ppe for his/her personnel.

• Determine the required spares for the planned and/or unplanned outages.

• Write up periodical reports about the service activities.

• Oversee the recruitment, training and development of all Dematic Resident Site based employees.

• Short-, medium- and long-term capacity and capability management

• Annual appraisal of direct reports

Desired Experience:

• To have a good understanding of automatic systems.

• A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings

• Good understanding of PLC equipment

• Working at height

• First Aid trained

• Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems

• PC literacy

• Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules

• Previous experience in team management / leading teams preferable

• Knowledge of applicable Health and Safety regulations
