Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting experienced Operational Team Leaders for a busy logistics warehouse on the docks in Millbrook, Southampton. This is a full-time, immediate-start role with a potential permanent contract after 12 weeks based on performance.

You will rotate between two shifts (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00) and must be willing to work both. Salary starts at £13.65/hour, increasing to £14.09/hour after 12 weeks, with progression possible.

The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced Operational Team Leaders, to work at our client's busy logistics warehouse, based on the docks in Millbrook, Southampton.

• Providing support to the Operational Team/Shift Managers
• Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments and deliveries
• Using the Warehouse Management System efficiently to monitor stock levels
• Overseeing a team of Warehouse Operatives
• Manual handling which includes wrapping pallets, lifting pallets and moving boxes
• Overseeing all general warehouse duties and operations

Previous experience within a warehouse environment is essential. Previous experience leading a team is essential. This is to work on a rotating shift pattern, so any candidates must be happy to work early shifts and late shifts. Please can we ask that you do not apply if you do not meet this criteria.

This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position. There is a possibility that the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.

This is to work on a two-week rotating shift pattern. You will do two weeks on the early shift, then two weeks on the late shift, and keep rotating on that basis.

The hours for the early shift are Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.

The hours for the late shift are Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.

The starting pay rate is £13.65 per hour, increasing to £14.09 per hour after 12 weeks.
