Job summary

The Best Connection are seeking Forklift Drivers to work at our clients busy distribution centre in Millbrook, Southampton. The role includes operating a forklift to move pallets, PPT, load/unload, picking/packing, pallet building, and goods in/out processes.

Initial pay is £13.43 per hour with weekly pay, immediate start, and potential permanent contract after 12 weeks depending on performance and attendance.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance licence.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move pallets of stock.
• Operate PPT.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Working within a warehouse
• Operating a Forklift truck to move pallets of stock
• Operating a PPT
• Loading and unloading containers and trailers
• Picking and packing
• Building and wrapping pallets
• Assisting with goods in and out processes
• Following all health and safety procedures

Job requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance licence
• Good numeracy, literary and communication skills
• Previous warehouse experience
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently

Pay rate of £13.43 per hour, weekly pay.

This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position. There is a possibility that the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.

This is to work on a two-week rotating shift pattern. You will do two weeks on the early shift, then two weeks on the late shift, and keep rotating on that basis.

The hours for the early shift are Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.

The hours for the late shift are Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.
