Join a leading health and social care provider as a Team Leader, where you will lead a dedicated team in supporting individuals with learning disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to create positive impacts on the lives of those you support, fostering independence and well-being. With a focus on person-centered care, you will manage support plans, oversee staff performance, and ensure high-quality service delivery. Enjoy a rewarding career with continuous training and development in a supportive environment. Make a difference every day with a forward-thinking organization committed to improving lives.
At Turning Point, we support people with learning disabilities across England. As a Team Leader, you'll make a real difference to the lives of the people we support by providing high-quality services that help each service user achieve their full potential. Passionate about people, you'll enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life too, as you make the role your own and lead by example.
Our services are 24-hour supported living environments, supporting three individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs to live independently within their own homes. The individuals we support have various communication, mobility, and health needs. These environments are quieter, and we tailor our services to enable people to be as independent as possible.
We strive to create positive family relationships and a strong support network. Our focus is on person-centered care, including activities like shopping, managing budgets, and cooking. Raising the bar for person-centered care, you'll support individuals by prioritizing their well-being and maintaining relationships with their families and friends.
You and your team will develop flexible, realistic support plans and risk assessments with the individuals supported, in collaboration with family members and other professionals. This includes reviewing support plans, liaising with health professionals, chairing meetings, completing Mental Capacity Assessments, holding Best Interests meetings, and completing DoLS applications.
We seek Team Leaders who can adapt quickly in busy, changing environments. You should be able to lead a team of Support Workers, allocate tasks, and manage staff performance, including overseeing rotas, sickness, supervisions, and appraisals. Strong communication skills are essential to tailor messages to different audiences.
Experience in the care sector, especially supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and health issues, is preferred. We offer varied training and development to support your growth as a line manager.
As a leading health and social care provider with over 300 locations across England, we pride ourselves on our services. Operating on a not-for-profit basis, we reinvest every penny into our services and the people we support. We are committed to continuous improvement and positive change.
We offer a comprehensive reward package, including 29 days of paid holiday per year, increasing with service up to 31 days, with options to buy additional holidays. Discover all the benefits we provide by following this link to Turning Point Benefits.
