Job summary

HSL is recruiting 2 Show Leaders to join our client’s team in Arley, UK. You will lead on-site exhibition and event operations, coordinate staff, and ensure setups and breakdowns run safely and efficiently.

The role requires at least 2 years of team supervision, a full UK driving licence, and a hands-on, flexible approach. You’ll travel across the UK and Europe, work weekends, and stay away from home when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience supervising or leading a team.
• Experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to delegate effectively and remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe, with overnight stays.
• Flexible to work weekends and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise staff with morning and evening briefings.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate exhibition and event setups and breakdowns.
• Oversee loading, storage and movement of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment with PPE at all times.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and event organisers for smooth operations.
• Travel to venues across the UK and Europe, occasionally staying away from home.

Pay: £14.61-£17.09 per hour

Working Hours: 8:00am until finish, Monday to Sunday

Working Days: Must be available to work weekends and up to 7 days, depending on business requirements.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Team Leader with a background in warehousing, logistics or distribution? Do you enjoy leading from the front, motivating a team and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment?

Our client is looking to recruit 2 Show Leaders / Team Leaders to join their team based in Arley, supporting exhibition and event operations across the UK and Europe.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for coordinating on-site teams, overseeing equipment movements and ensuring exhibition setups and breakdowns run safely, smoothly and efficiently.

Pay Rates

• Basic rate: £14.61 per hour
• 6th day worked: £15.99 per hour
• 7th day worked: £17.09 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise staff, including delivering morning and evening team briefings.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate exhibition and event setups and breakdowns.
• Oversee the unloading, storage, delivery, collection and reloading of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Ensure all staff wear the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and event organisers to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage expectations, identify potential issues and implement practical solutions.
• Travel to venues across the UK and Europe, occasionally staying away from home.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years' experience supervising or leading a team.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• The ability to delegate effectively and remain calm under pressure.
• A practical, hands-on approach with good organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe and occasionally stay away from home.

Desirable, but not essential

• Experience in exhibitions, events or event logistics.
• A valid forklift licence
