Job summary

Veolia Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Operations Lead to ensure the day-to-day efficient operation of a network of recycling centres across Merseyside & Halton. You will support the Operations Manager, manage a team of operatives, and ensure safety and customer service standards are met.

The role is 37 hours per week on a rolling rota, with weekend work and outdoor conditions. A full driving licence and strong H&S knowledge are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an operational manual handling role.
• People management experience is required.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge is essential.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Day to day efficient operation of the site.
• Assist the Operations Manager in managing a team of operatives.
• Arrange cover for holidays and sickness and check and sign timesheets.
• Provide excellent customer service and recycling advice to the public.
• Open and close the site depending on shift pattern.
• Maintain site safety and efficient use of resources.
• Maintain filing systems for audits and produce reports.
• Work on various sites across the Merseyside & Halton contract
