Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Site Operations Lead at the South Sefton Household Waste Recycling Centre in Bootle to oversee daily site operations and lead a team of operatives on a rolling rota. The role includes opening/closing shifts, ensuring safety, and delivering high-quality customer service.

There is a focus on maintaining site safety, managing resources across multiple Merseyside & Halton sites, and producing audit reports.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar operational manual handling role.
• People management experience.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day efficient operation of the site.
• Assist the Operations Manager in managing a team of operatives.
• Arrange cover for holidays and sickness and check and sign timesheets.
• Provide excellent customer service and recycling advice to the public.
• Create a safe place to visit and work.
• Open and close the site depending on which shift pattern.
• Maintain the site safety, rules and efficient use of available resources.
• Maintain filing systems for audits and produce reports.
• Work on various sites across the Merseyside & Halton contract.

Salary: £36,850.67 plus bonus OTE £42,250.67

Hours: 37 hours per week across 7 days on a rolling rota, including weekend work. Between 07.45 - 20.00.

Base Location - South Sefton Household Waste Recycling Centre, Bootle, L31 8BT
