Team Leader - Hull and East Riding

Location: East Riding of Yorkshire

Salary: A£27,992 per annum plus benefits

We are recruiting for a Team Leader in Hull and East Riding.

We are Forward, the social enterprise that empowers people to break the cycle of crime and addiction to move forward and live fulfilling lives.

We deliver a range of MOJ Commissioned Rehabilitative services (CRS) directly for Probation in three key areas: Accommodation, Personal Wellbeing, and Dependency & Recovery. These services operate in different regions including Wales, London, Humberside, East of England, Sussex, Surrey, Kent, and Cheshire.

Our services work with men aged 18+ under probation supervision, supporting them to achieve transformational change, break the cycle of offending, and integrate into society long-term.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Manage a team of practitioners delivering Dependency and Recovery Services to adult males under probation supervision.
2. Support implementation of individual action plans and recovery journeys.
3. Build and maintain positive relationships with probation practitioners and stakeholders.
4. Be embedded within probation offices to promote our work.
5. Provide leadership, travel across responsible locations, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
6. Recruit, develop, and retain staff, providing coaching and support.

Additional requirements include enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting, which can take 3-6 weeks.

Checks involve personal, family, co-residents, associations, police, credit, social media, and other government or overseas agency information.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

1. Experience managing teams and performance development.
2. Interest and experience in motivating and developing people.
3. Relationship management skills both internally and externally.
4. Knowledge of formal procedures and policies.
5. Problem-solving, negotiation, project, and time management skills.
6. Understanding of issues faced by service users in the criminal justice sector.
7. Experience managing high caseloads, assessments, SMART plans, and case records.
