About The Role
  • Salary £25,943.20 per annum / £12.43 per hour
  • Working 40 hours per week
  • Summer and Winter hours: Monday - Friday
  • Summer: Start and Finish times: Monday - Friday 08:45am - 16:45pm; Saturday: 09:45am- 18:15pm
  • Winter: Start and Finish times: Monday - Friday 08:45am -16:45pm; Saturday 09:45am - 16:45pm
  • Monthly bonus is available
  • Full PPE provided
What will I be doing?

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the Health and Safety of all team members and the public is the number one priority.
  • Maintaining accurate paperwork to an acceptable standard.
  • Operating the mobile plants on site (training will be provided).
  • Completing any other reasonable duties when applicable.

This will involve:

  • Maintaining shift logs and providing daily feedback on performance to teams.
  • Carrying out toolbox talks for safe systems and safety alerts.
  • Assisting supervisors with weekly audits, action plans, and overseeing corrective actions.
  • Assisting supervisors with employee inductions, briefings, and training.
  • Supporting supervisors with the day-to-day performance management of employees.
  • Ensuring the segregation of all recyclable materials is maximised at the facility.
  • Promoting an operating process that prioritizes health and safety.
  • Ensuring all work equipment within the area is used and maintained safely, reporting all defects, and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Carrying out 5’s audits and SIM observations to promote and maintain safety and lean culture on site.
What are the requirements?

You must be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in gaining experience in a first-line management role and keen to progress and develop their personnel skills.

You'll also need:

  • A flexible approach to work, as you may be expected to provide cover and work overtime, as required.
  • You will either already hold or be expected to achieve the IOSH Managing Safely Qualification.
