Job summary

Adullam Social Enterprise Recruitment is seeking an experienced Team Leader in Birmingham to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality supported accommodation service. You will supervise frontline staff, ensure safeguarding, maintain records, and drive service quality with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires experience in housing or social care, a commitment to independence and dignity for residents, and an enhanced DBS certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading staff within supported accommodation, housing, social care or a similar environment.
• Understanding the needs of people with complex or multiple support needs.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, incident reporting, confidentiality and relevant standards/regulations.
• Confident monitoring staff performance, completing audits, maintaining records and identifying areas for service improvement.
• Organised, resilient, and able to make sound decisions in challenging situations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and choice.
• Experience of working with local authorities, commissioners or external agencies would be advantageous.
• Current enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply.

TEAM LEADER

Birmingham

£16.15 per hour

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

37.5 hrs per week

Temporary with a view to become permanent.

ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the Northwest, Midlands, and Derbyshire.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to work in the Birmingham Small Heath area supporting clients experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality supported accommodation service in Birmingham. You will supervise and support frontline staff, ensuring residents receive person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing. You will monitor safeguarding, records, accommodation standards, performance and compliance, while working closely with internal teams and external partners.

The role also involves staff supervision, service audits, quality improvement, stakeholder engagement and supporting the financial performance of the service through effective income and void management.

Experience of working with local authorities, commissioners or other external agencies would be advantageous.

Candidates should have a current, enhanced DBS certificate, if you do not hold a valid DBS Certificate, they must be willing to apply for one.
