Job summary

CareTech Community Services in West Bromwich is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a supported living service at Coles Lane, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role is permanent, full-time, 36 hours per week on a rota.

You will deliver person-centred support, lead a team of support workers, maintain records, and promote independence and wellbeing. The service offers DBS checks, pension and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a support worker team.
• Background in mental health and learning disabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Commitment to person-centred care.

Location: Solihull
Rate: £13.79 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 36 hours per week (rota-based)

We are recruiting Team Leader to join our service in West Bromwich, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

About the Service – Coles Lane

Coles Lane is a supported living environment which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and autism. Applicants will ideally have a background in supporting individuals with the above health needs and experience in either a supported living or residential background.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts


• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.


• Holidays and short breaks


• Walks in the local park and community


• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans


• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required


• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing


• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team


• Experience Leading a Support Worker Team


• Experience in mental health & Learning Disabilities environment


• Excellent Communication Skills
