Job summary

Care Outlook Community in West Berkshire is seeking a Team Leader to oversee our care team and deliver high-quality services to service users.

You will supervise staff, develop care plans, ensure CQC compliance, and collaborate with recruitment to maintain staffing levels. A driving licence and on-call flexibility are required; we offer a £27,000 salary, a company phone, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in coordinating care or working in health and social care.
  • Experience supervising staff and supporting professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Management of the care team, monitoring staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training to assist delivering a high-quality service.
  • Creating, managing, and monitoring customer care plans, ensuring staff rotas meet service users' needs and aspirations.
  • Ensuring care assessments, care and risk planning meet best practice and customers' aspirations.
  • Work with Recruitment Team to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels.
  • Provide care services to service users in emergencies, arrange emergency cover and cover calls as required.
  • Ensure telephones are answered promptly and conversations are respectful.
  • Collaborate with Branch Manager to meet quality standards and handle complaints promptly.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.
  • Implement measures to comply with CQC regulations and strive for best care standards.

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to maintain and develop our extra care service in Audrey Needham & Redwood House in West Berkshire.

Core Duties & Responsibilities as Team Leader:
  • Direct Management of the care team, monitoring staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training to assist them in delivering a high-quality service
  • Creating, managing, and monitoring customer care plans, ensuring staff rotas meet service users' needs and aspirations
  • Ensuring care assessments, care, and risk planning meet best practice and customers' aspirations
  • Work with the Recruitment Team to ensure sufficient current and future staffing levels
  • To provide care services to service users in an emergency, arrange emergency cover when required and cover all/any calls reasonably where required
  • To ensure that the telephones are answered promptly, and people are spoken to in a polite and respectful manner
  • To work alongside the Branch Manager, ensuring that all quality standards, complaints, and comments are dealt with promptly
  • Participate in the on‑call rota
  • Put in place measures to comply with CQC regulations and work to achieve the best care standards possible
As a Team Leader, you will be offered the following:

We are looking for a Team Leader to join us who are:

  • Knowledge of CQC standards and CQC Compliance (essential)
  • Experience in Care Coordinating or 2 years working within Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
