This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s (Eastern) Elective Orthopaedic service as a Band 6 Team Lead Physiotherapist. While it is part of the Royal Devon’s Physiotherapy service, this position is based at the South-West Ambulatory Orthopaedic Centre (SWAOC) at the Nightingale Hospital.
This is a fixed-term position (duration to be specified) with a weekly clinical caseload of complex patients across the Orthopaedic unit, ensuring assessment and treatment from pre-assessment and prehab to post-operative assessment and rehabilitation, facilitating a smooth patient flow and timely follow-up.
The post-holder will manage and supervise the Physiotherapy team, communicate the rehabilitation process to patients and relatives, and monitor therapy performance and outcomes across the unit.
They will also assist in training and developing less experienced staff, students, and other professionals, contributing to a safe, effective, and evidence-based service.
