Role Summary
Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Eastern Services are seeking to appoint 2 Junior Clinical Fellows in Intensive Care Medicine, with commencement dates of 6th August. The tenure of all posts is 6 months with the possibility of extension depending upon service need. The posts do not attract a National Training Number.
The posts are based within the existing critical care teams with access to departmental teaching and other developmental opportunities. Despite not being recognized as ‘training posts’, they allow doctors to improve the breadth and depth of their experience in Intensive Care Medicine.
Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required.
The Eastern critical care services comprise a 20-bed unit (funded for patients) providing Level 2 and 3 care for both elective and emergency medical and surgical services. Specialist services include plastics, maxillofacial, gynae-oncology, urology, vascular, interventional radiology, complex orthopaedics, paediatrics, haematology/oncology, interventional cardiology, stroke, respiratory, and renal. The ICU was graded as “outstanding” at the last CQC inspection.
