Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.

This is a permanent, part-time position of 14.8 hours per week. Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

Training and mentoring will be provided. Candidates must have a Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC. It is essential to be working towards a master's level postgraduate qualification. Community experience is beneficial. A valid car driver license is essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead Physiotherapist within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Skylark Centre. The team is driven and dynamic, committed to staying updated with local and national strategies, engaging stakeholders for optimal outcomes.

You will assist the Service Manager and Professional Lead Physiotherapist in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating physiotherapy services for children and young people with physical disabilities and complex needs across health, educational, and social settings. Responsibilities include leadership in planning and implementing best practices, clinical governance, and quality assurance, including handling complaints.

As an experienced paediatric physiotherapist, you will demonstrate in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, evidence-based practice, audit, and research methodology. You will possess highly specialist clinical knowledge of complex paediatric conditions and an understanding of treatment strategies based on evidence. You will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management to children and young people with complex clinical conditions, including developmental delays, movement disorders, disabilities, or illnesses, using physiotherapeutic skills and specialized equipment. You will manage a clinical caseload and ensure the delivery of safe, effective patient care.
