Job summary

GOLDBECK SOLAR is seeking a senior engineering leader to shape and develop the UK engineering function for large-scale renewable energy projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with stakeholders across project management, procurement, construction and sales, and drive successful delivery in a dynamic market.

The role requires extensive solar/renewables experience, strong UK regulatory knowledge, and hands-on design in AutoCAD and PVsyst.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in engineering roles within solar/renewables.
  • Experience leading engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of UK standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and PVsyst.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering team and drive delivery of large-scale projects.
  • Act as technical escalation point for projects and tenders.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations, client requirements and industry standards.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, calculations and documentation.
  • Support project execution from design through commissioning.
  • Coordinate with project management, procurement, construction and sales teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development of team members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

You will lead a talented team, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute directly to the growth of GOLDBECK SOLAR in one of our most important markets.

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Act as the technical escalation point for projects and tenders
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations, client requirements and industry standards

Profile:
  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in engineering roles within the solar, renewable energy or infrastructure sector
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of UK engineering standards and regulations
  • Experience with AutoCAD and PVSyst
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-sufficient and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to travel across the UK for project and client meetings
  • Open, trusting and professional cooperation with a focus on success and enjoyment in daily work
