Job summary

GOLDBECK SOLAR is seeking a senior engineering leader to shape and develop the UK engineering function for large-scale renewable energy projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with stakeholders across project management, procurement, construction and sales, and drive successful delivery in a dynamic market.

The role requires extensive solar/renewables experience, strong UK regulatory knowledge, and hands-on design in AutoCAD and PVsyst.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or related field.
Extensive experience in engineering roles within solar/renewables.
Experience leading engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of UK standards and regulations.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and PVsyst.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary engineering team and drive delivery of large-scale projects.
Act as technical escalation point for projects and tenders.
Ensure compliance with UK regulations, client requirements and industry standards.
Review and approve engineering designs, calculations and documentation.
Support project execution from design through commissioning.
Coordinate with project management, procurement, construction and sales teams.
Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development of team members.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
