Job Description:

SuperCare is searching for an experienced Team Leader to manage operations at a residential children's home in Ilford. The role requires the ability to adapt to evolving demands and to lead shifts, formulate support plans with young people, and promote their welfare in accordance with the Children Act 1989.

Main Duties:

  • Direct work with young people, including key working and providing support on a shift basis.
  • Coordinate and review Care Plans, risk assessments, and placement plans to support young people's transitions to independence.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and make autonomous decisions regarding young people's requests and behavior during shifts.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to care responsibilities and daily home operations.
  • Promote responsibility and involvement of young people in planning their lives.

Household Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the house, including equipment and environment.
  • Manage allocated funds responsibly.
  • Report repairs and ensure safety checks are completed.
  • Ensure young people have healthy meals and that health and safety policies are followed.

Personal Development:

  • Stay updated on best practices and develop skills accordingly.
  • Utilize professional supervision and report malpractice.
