Job Description:

SuperCare is searching for an experienced Team Leader (2 years) to manage operations at a new residential children's home near Norwood Junction. The role requires adaptability, responsiveness, and successful navigation of evolving demands. Responsibilities include leading shifts, formulating support plans for young people, and fostering their overall welfare in line with the Children Act 1989. The description is dynamic and may change to meet evolving circumstances.

• Lead shifts, develop support plans with young people, and support their physical, emotional, and social welfare according to the Children Act 1989.

Main Duties:

• Direct work with young people, key working, and supporting their care on a shift basis.
• Coordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans, risk assessments, and placement plans to promote positive outcomes and independence.
• Manage health and safety, make autonomous decisions about young people's requests and behavior during shifts.
• Maintain records related to key working and daily home operations.
• Encourage young people's responsibility, inform them of their rights, involve them in planning, and support their independence.

Household Responsibilities:

• Share practical activities to maintain the home.
• Care for the fabric, equipment, and environment.
• Manage allocated funds responsibly.
• Report repairs and ensure safety checks are completed.
• Ensure young people have healthy, balanced meals prepared by staff.

Personal Development:

• Stay updated on best practices to develop skills and knowledge.
• Utilize professional supervision.
• Report malpractice or concerns to management.

Additional Duties:

• Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
• Work shifts including weekends and bank holidays as per rota.
• Flexibility to work at other properties as directed.
