Job summary

National Energy System Operator Limited (NESO) is seeking a Team Administrator to support the Director of Transformation and Major Projects. This permanent role offers hybrid working from Wokingham or Warwick, with options for full-time or part-time hours to suit you.

You will coordinate diary management, training, reporting and stakeholder engagement across the function, ensuring smooth operation and timely delivery of KPIs, while building strong internal and external relationships.

  • Experience liaising with senior staff both internally and externally.
  • Experience in collating, analysing and reporting on data.
  • Strong organisation, co-ordination and administrative skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Providing diary support for the Director, including meetings, travel and bookings.
  • Co-ordinating training and CPD across the function to ensure timely completion.
  • Logging queries and coordinating with teams to meet KPIs.
  • Co-ordinating and project-managing events and ad-hoc projects as requested.
  • Building relationships across teams to enable cross-team collaboration.
  • Supporting external stakeholders and ad-hoc requests as required.

About the Role

The Director of Transformation and Major Projects is looking for a Team Administrator as a permanent position. The Team Administrator will report to the Director of Transformation and Major Projects, working closely with the senior leadership team. The Team Administrator role will involve various coordination, administration, communication and reporting activities to enhance the effective and efficient operation of the broader function. These roles can be based from Wokingham or Warwick we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full-time and part-time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Providing diary support for the Director, including setting up meetings/travel/booking accommodation and international trips
  • Co-ordinating training, including e-learning courses and Continuing Professional Development training, across the function, ensuring that all team members have completed their training on time
  • Managing the logging of queries and co-ordinating with the relevant individuals/teams to ensure effective resolution and the meeting of key performance indicators
  • Co-ordinating and project managing events and ad-hoc projects within the team as requested, including functional off‑site events
  • Building good relationships across all teams to facilitate cross-team working and collaboration
  • Building good relationships with external stakeholders
  • Undertaking other ad-hoc support with issues/queries/projects from within the team or from business and external stakeholders from time to time as required

About You
  • Experience of working in a similar environment
  • Experience of liaising with senior members of staff both internally and externally

  • And for someone who is proficient in working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
