An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join NHS Talking Therapies Southampton Steps2Wellbeing on a fixed-term contract until March 2026. The service offers a range of evidence-based talking therapies for common mental health problems.
The service provides various Step 2 and Step 3 psychological therapy options, including Low and High Intensity CBT, Psycho-educational groups, and Counselling.
We are seeking both full-time and part-time Team Administrators. The full-time role involves working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays and evenings on a rota. The part-time role involves 22.5 hours per week, with evenings and Saturdays on a rota. The successful candidate will ensure a confidential, efficient, and comprehensive administrative service for clients and staff. Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality are essential skills.
The successful applicant must work one evening shift per week (12-8pm) and Saturdays on a rota basis. Training will be provided in the office, and once trained, the role will involve a split of home working and office presence in Southampton.
Ideal candidates will be able to manage a high volume of calls, handle distressed clients with care, and provide excellent customer service. You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with databases and busy office environments. Calmness under pressure and teamwork skills are also important.
An employment DBS check is required, which the Trust will cover. Applicants with a valid DBS update service subscription can present their certificate instead of a new check.
