Job summary

Tyne Coast College is seeking a proactive Team Administrator to join Student Services, supporting ALS and Pastoral teams to ensure students receive the help they need. You will provide a professional service across sites, manage enquiries, take minutes, and support reception cover.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant subject.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A friendly, professional and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support across the Student Services department.
  • Managing shared inboxes, monitoring enquiries and directing requests appropriately.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records and filing systems.
  • Taking minutes and recording actions from meetings.
  • Supporting communication between teams across college sites.
  • Providing reception cover when required.
  • Delivering a welcoming, responsive and professional customer experience.
  • Supporting the ALS and Pastoral Support teams in delivering effective services to students.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Team Administrator to join our Student Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting both our Additional Learning Support and Pastoral Support teams, helping to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

About the Role

As a Team Administrator, you will provide a professional and efficient administrative service within Student Services. Working closely with colleagues across multiple teams and sites, you will be responsible for ensuring that key processes run smoothly and that students, staff and stakeholders receive an excellent level of service.

Key responsibilities
  • Providing administrative support across the Student Services department.
